SUPER HAIR DEALS! OH REALLY

OK I know we are in a recession. People losing jobs, homes, cars, some people losing their minds. Please don't be too cheap with your hair! I'm sorry I got to put some of my fellow stylists on front street. They running these super duper cheap specials and jacking people hair up! I rather clients jack themselves up, than pay to get set up. I'm going to break it down for you:

Relaxers deals:($30-$40) they using the cheapest relaxers out there. They might be mixing potatoes and lye and putting on your hair. Most of the cheaper relaxers have not emollients or oils to help protect your hair, so the end result is BREAKAGE. Save some money Vs. Five strains of hair left on your head. Think about it!!

Shampoo-wrap deals:($15-$20) cheap watered down shampoo and dollar store setting lotion. You probably wont lose hair, but might have a extra itchy scalp and your hair will not be clean. And just get some Cortisone Cream for that rash growing behind your ears.

Hair cut deals:( price unknown) It might look good when you leave the shop, but after the curls fall and you can really see the cut, 90% chance you have been set up.

I just thought I would put this out there.

Winter Braids Blues

Well its winter again, and most of use like to get those winter braids. I have no problem with braids, but i do have some tips that might help you keep most of your hair when you take them out. First, please dont get braids after a fresh relaxer. Your hair is to weak after the chemical and needs to replenish its strength for at least two to three weeks. The best think to do is to apply a deep hydrating conditioner before you lock your hair down for two to three months. After you get the braids, you can clean your scalp with Sea Breeze. All you have to do is apply the Sea Breeze with a spray bottle(get one from the dollar store), just mist your scalp. Let it sit for about 5 mins, take a damp cloth and wipe off your scalp. Oh, and yeah those dust balls when you take them out, I cant stand when I have to comb those out. Please dont pack grease on your scalp, use a light oil, you can even use Virgin Olive Oil right out of your pantry. The build up of grease and dirt is what causes the dust bunnies in your head.

I will miss all my clients that are rocking braids through the winter.
